Starting Monday, October 30, all citizens will be able to request the new identity card by going to the Municipal Registry Office or ordering one online through the Municipality's official website.
To obtain the new card, you must present an identification document, your health insurance card, and a passport-sized photo, possibly in digital format. The Ministry of the Interior will deliver the CIE by mail within six working days.
"We are pleased to be able to offer this new service to citizens," explains Councillor Valerio Capasso. "With this and other measures planned for the future, we are keeping pace with Italian and European technological innovations."
Mayor Luigi Sarnataro requested the first electronic ID card, visiting the offices on Via Napoli this morning with the necessary documentation. "I thank the municipal offices and the department manager, Nicola Amato, for their work, thanks to which Mugnano has also acquired a CIE," said Mayor Luigi Sarnataro. "This is an important step toward the institution's ever-greater digitalization, as envisioned in our electoral platform. We activated the new service in the shortest possible time. Our goal remains to be a municipality that moves with the times and looks to the future. For this very reason, we are also undertaking a series of renovations within the Registry Office to speed up and facilitate various operations."
