the volunteer group 'Carcere ViVo (Vincenziani Volontari)', an organization founded in Naples in 1987 by Sister Anna Scimia. The anniversary was celebrated with a mass in honor of Saint Vincent de Paul at the headquarters of the Vincentian volunteers of Arco Mirelli. Before the Eucharistic celebration, Sister Anna Scimia herself recalled the stages of the association founded thirty years ago to bring a word of hope to prisoners and their families. "The history of the group - recalled the nun around whom a network of volunteers has been created over the years - is broad and made up of many episodes of brotherhood, successes and failures, special people we have met, extraordinary volunteers who have worked both in prison and with families outside. Many - she observed - were the friends in difficulty that we met and some families managed to completely get out of the problem. Together with them we have made a journey of mutual growth".
