The Government, at the instigation of the De Luca Council, and in particular of the Councilor for Labor Sonia Palmeri, and of the Councilor for Productive Activities Amedeo Lepore, has presented an amendment to the Budget Law that provides for the granting of the Extraordinary Earnings Integration Fund (CIGS), and of the mobility in derogation, for workers of companies operating in the territories of Campania for which the Mise has decreed new areas of complex crisis. The amendment approved in committee provides for the granting of the CIGS and mobility in derogation for 12 months and in any case for the whole of 2018, and provides for the resulting burden with 34 million euros charged to the Social Fund for employment and training.
This initiative stems from the approval of the government decree of 31 January 2013 on complex crisis areas and which, based on the resolution of the Regional Council n.590 of 3/10/2017, provided for the inclusion of 24 municipalities included in the three industrial hubs of Acerra-Marcianise-Airola; Torre Annunziata-Castellammare; Battipaglia-Solofra. “In expressing satisfaction for the approval of the amendment presented by the Government – say the councilors Lepore and Palmieri – which will be voted definitively by Parliament with the text of the Budget Law, we believe that it is necessary to also evaluate in a subsequent phase the full coverage of the needs of workers in our territories. We also commit to continue in a positive dialogue with the Government to implement pilot interventions for reindustrialization and support for productive employment in the areas identified in the decree of Minister Calenda”.
