Due eventi dedicati ad una delle tradizioni più importanti d’Europa, due eventi che puntano a valorizzare il folclore irpino attraverso la memoria e il divertimento.Al via il cartellone ideato e promosso dall’associazione Carnevale Princeps Irpino – Carnevali Irpini Riuniti, che come ogni anno si pone l’obiettivo di raccogliere le più significative espressioni di una delle tradizioni di maggiore suggestione della provincia di Avellino: il Carnevale.

A meeting that has now become a fixed point of Carnevale Princeps Irpino with the aim of transmitting to the new generations the cultural heritage so important linked to Carnival.
Sunday, February 4, meeting in Montemarano. The gathering is at 12.00:329: the community lunch is scheduled (info and reservations 3154890 XNUMX) which will take place at the Piazzetta del Gusto del Carnevale di Montemarano.
The Carnival of Montemarano, the Carnival of Castelvetere sul Calore, the Zeza of Mercogliano, the Mascarata of Rivottoli di Serino, the Zeza of Capriglia Irpina, O' ballo o'dreccio of Forino, A Zeza co'n'dreccio 'll'antico nun more of Borgo di Montoro will participate in the initiative. At 15.00:15.30 pm, greetings from the presidents and mayors of all the Carnivals and Municipalities present and, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm, the parade along the streets of Montemarano will begin.
“The spirit of Princeps – explains Roberto D'Agnese, creator of the Princeps association and artistic director – has remained unchanged.
Our goal is to create a unified vision, despite the differences, of the Irpinia Carnival, promoting forms of collaboration between all those who keep the Carnival tradition alive in individual realities. It is with this spirit that we have managed to obtain great recognition, such as the one last year, in Rome, at the Parco della Musica, which gave us great visibility on such a prestigious national stage”.
A winning bet, that of Princeps, an association chaired by Felice Scozzese, who has been linked to Zeza (first Cesinali, then Capriglia Irpina) for many years. “The Princeps project – says Scozzese – has shown how the union of cultures and folklore is able to create an incredible force, especially in Irpinia. We are working more and more with schools, convinced that valorization starts first of all from human resources, from the new generations, to reach the territory.
And precisely because we believe in the network, we reiterate our availability to the participation of other Carnivals who want to share this journey with us". All the activities of the Princeps Irpino Carnival will take place before the Carnival, so as to leave intact the tradition of each town and at the same time create a sort of preview of the event.
The Princeps Irpino Carnival is made up of the Montemarano Carnival, the Castelveterese Carnival, the Zeza of Capriglia Irpina, the Zeza of Mercogliano, the Mascarata of Serino, the Ballo 'o Intreccio of Forino, and the Borgo Carnevale Città di Montoro, with the support of Ichnet by Giuseppe Torre, media partner of Radio Punto Nuovo.
