Siena. Aboard a stolen car they ram a police car: two young men from the province of Naples, with numerous criminal records, were arrested after a chase in Poggibonsi, who were out and about at night with the aim of committing thefts and robberies. Last night around midnight, the military on duty to control the territory of Val d'Elsa, in particular the isolated and peripheral areas, noticed a white Fiat Tipo with two people on board wandering around the hamlet of Bellavista. After having ascertained that the car had been stolen a few days earlier in Naples, the police decided to stop it to identify the passengers.
At this point, having found himself in the sights of the carabinieri, the driver of the car began a flight that ended from Bellavista in via Santa Caterina in Poggibonsi, where a patrol of the radiomobile nucleus of the Valdelsana company was waiting for them, with the aim of blocking their path and preventing the race from continuing into the town. The two criminals rammed the carabinieri car, thus ending their crazy ride. The two passengers, MR, 23 years old, a criminal, and EG, 17 years old, also with criminal records, both born and resident in the province of Naples, were arrested: the man was taken to the Siena prison and the minor girl to a protected facility in Tuscany. A blank pistol without a red cap was found on board the stolen car, completely similar to a real weapon. According to investigators, the two arrested probably intended to commit thefts or robberies in Val d'Elsa.
