They raided cars inside the Casilina Ovest service station in Castrocielo on the Rome-Naples highway. The 65-year-old Calabrian and the 69-year-old Campanian, both residents of Naples, were arrested on board a gray Fiat 500 L by officers from the Cassino subsection headed by deputy commissioner Giovanni Cerilli. The system used by the criminals for their misdeeds was well-tested. The two pulled up alongside a parked car, one of the two occupants followed the owner into the service station while the accomplice forced the lock with a screwdriver, removing the laptop from a laptop bag and leaving the bag to delay the owner's unpleasant discovery. With precise timing, the two fled but officers from the Cassino Highway Police Subsection were waiting for them at the exit of the service station. They were arrested for aggravated theft.
