One hundred euros. That is the sum of money for which Vito Recchimurzi, a 51-year-old worker for a trucking company, shot and killed his employer, the 55-year-old entrepreneur Nicola Sabatino, who had refused to pay him. It happened in the evening in Frignano in the province of Caserta in the building where the two lived separated by only one floor. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, Sabatino went to the worker's house on the floor above the building where the two live to pay him. But an argument soon broke out over the amount because - according to the worker - 100 euros were missing from the agreed amount. The entrepreneur, after handing over part of the money, left Sabatino's apartment. It was then that the worker fired several times with his revolver, an illegally held revolver, hitting the man in the back who died instantly. The aid provided by the 118 paramedics was in vain. Four shell casings were found on the scene. When the police arrived, called by some neighbors frightened by the multiple explosions they heard, the murderer turned himself in to the police without putting up any resistance. He later handed over the weapon as well. On the landing, lying on the ground, the officers found the businessman's body. There was a tense atmosphere on the scene with many people rushing in panic. A month ago, again in the Caserta area, in Bellona, another fit of madness with a 48-year-old who shot his wife and then wildly from his balcony, wounding five passers-by and spreading panic in the town, before taking his own life.
