A goalless draw between Virtus Francavilla and Paganese. This is the first point under the new management of De Sanzo, second under Favo who replaced him. A draw that does little to move the Azzurrostellati standings.
The first half was soporific until the final minutes, with very little play and little entertainment. Only in the final minutes did Cernigoi for Paganese and then Partipilo for the home team cause concern for the goalkeepers. The second half was very similar to the first 45 minutes, with the two teams battling it out but never troubling the goalkeepers. This is a sobering statistic, especially for Virtus Francavilla, who haven't won or scored at home in three months. The Azzurrostellati took home a point, but what stood out from this first match under the new management was the defensive organization, almost unseen under Favo.
