The facades of the "Santa Maria della Misericordia" hospital in Sorrento have been in a disrepair for years, prompting the Sorrento Foundation to launch a project called "SOS: Save Sorrento Hospital." The project includes a crowdfunding campaign through the Meridionare.it platform, with the ultimate goal of "raising the funds needed to renovate the facades of the building housing the Sorrento hospital, amounting to approximately one million euros."
The choice of the type of intervention, in addition to responding to the need for greater safety and decorum, is the result of a reflection born between the top management of the Sorrento Foundation, the mayors of the municipalities of the Sorrento Peninsula and the competent ASL. "Furthermore - recalls the Sorrento Foundation - the possibility of integrating public resources with private resources will determine a saving for the public coffers such as to be able to invest the few resources available in the structural strengthening of the Sorrento hospital". The project will be presented on Thursday 26 April at 11.00:XNUMX am at the headquarters of the Banco di Napoli Foundation (via dei Tribunali, Naples), by the mayor of Sorrento Giuseppe Cuomo, the president of Meridonare Marco Musella, the CEO of the Sorrento Foundation Gaetano Milano and the president of Federalberghi Campania, Costanzo Iaccarino.
