May Day Live in Baronissi. Special guest 'O Zulù

Music festival, live contest, emerging bands, comics, modeling, animation, inflatables, face painting, radio and two special guests: 'O Zulù with the opera-concert “Sono Questo Sono Quello – Quant' ne' vuò” and the blitz of the most famous YouTuber group on the web, CasaSurace.
Art thus becomes a form of "cultural resistance" to celebrate freedom, rights and aggregation on the occasion of Primo Maggio Live, the festival of music, families and workers in its first edition, promoted by the Municipality of Baronissi in collaboration with the Cultural Association "Tutti Suonati"
A moment, above all, of awareness on the issues of employment, as also underlined by the mayor Gianfranco Valiante during the press conference to present the program.
“Baronissi is positioning itself as a leader in the province of Salerno for a reflection on the themes of work, to be relaunched to the attention of the future government. Work that is not there, that is missing, that must offer guarantees, that must improve and that must put the person, the worker, at the center, understood as an individual and not as a number. A right, an expression of human dignity, to which we must give concreteness again – explains the mayor – For this reason we have imagined an entire day, completely renewed in the layout and in the idea, founded not only on the idea of celebration, but above all on the concept of solidarity. Artists of great depth and emerging music. Fun for children, art, music and attractions from morning to late at night. A moment designed for the community to come together, in the awareness of having to grow and emancipate themselves in work. We are convinced that Primo Maggio Live will have a value, a much wider appeal”.
An event that intends to "fill gaps and offer new spaces for gatherings", as underlined by the vice president of the municipal council of Baronissi, Giuseppe Pasquile, promoter of the network of associations that collaborate on the Primo Maggio Live project.
The cornerstone around which the entire project idea revolves is that of the happening, which will develop in a transversal manner through the intersection of various arts that will be articulated simultaneously in various neuralgic points.
“An event strongly desired and supported by the Baronissi Administration and organized by the Tutti Suonati association with a heterogeneous program schedule – insists the artistic director Linda Andresano – The goal is to organize an all-round event in our territory, dedicated to the meeting and entertainment of all age groups, but above all to all people who love music. The program that we imagined is the maximum expression of everything we wanted to represent in this first edition, bringing together different tastes”.
A busy day, which will open at 10.00 at the Parco della Rinascita with the itinerant Afro-Latin musical show and the area dedicated to the little ones with face painting by “In My Hands”, accompanied by the live radio broadcast of “MusicLab Revolution” on Radio Castelluccio, which will welcome the CasaSurace blitz with their energy and the disruptive verve with which they have imposed themselves on the international social audience. Also active are the stands of Irno Comics & Games, of the railway modeling association GR.835.114 represented at the conference by Vincenzo Guarnaccia. Like all the initiatives created by the association “Tutti Suonati”, the social aspect will be fundamental: Primo Maggio Live participates in raising awareness of scientific research against cancer and leukemia, conducted by the AIL Salerno section, represented by the president Gioacchino Tulimieri.
In the afternoon, starting at 16.00:XNUMX pm, the Primo Maggio Live stage will feature emerging bands who will have the opportunity to present their unreleased songs from rock, to pop, to electronic, to house, as part of the live contest promoted in collaboration with the musical association of the University of Salerno, Musicateneo Unisa: on stage the producer PreciousLand, Mucky Fingers, Gli Infelici, Matteo Balsamo, The Bubbles.
Grand finale with the performance of four young percussionists from Salerno, Utungo Tabasami, who are entrusted with the open act of the concert of 'O Zulù, historic frontman of 99Posse. An artist renewed in body, soul and sounds. He spares no energy and with rap, reggae and rock, mixed with electronics, he confesses his weaknesses and strengths. He declares himself ready to give even more - as much as he wants - than what he created within the walls of a recording studio, first together with D-Ross & STAR-t-UFFO and then with Dj Spike. The new music of 'O Zulù, in fact, is born above all among the people and with the people. His flow emerges from the floor, just as each of his live shows grows and changes in osmosis with the audience. In Sono Questo Sono Quello – Quant' Ne Vuo' 'O Zulù overturns the usual method of musical production: instead of composing and recording to then perform it live, he conceives and constructs the music based on the needs that arise from the concert among people, in a surprising condition of freedom of expression, such as to generate creative fervor and poetic abundance.
