Music, guided tours, food and wine, ancient games: the village of Prata Principato Ultra (Avellino) is preparing to relive the ancient glories of the Prato aristocracy on the occasion of the event “Ai tiempi ro barone”, scheduled from 29 June to XNUMX July Prata Principato Ultra (Avellino).
An event that offers an innovative and spectacular format, centered on the magic of a place to which the territory is strongly linked: the Baronial Palace that belonged to the Zamagna family, originally from Croatian Dubrovnik, to which the event - promoted by the Panta Rei association with the artistic direction of Roberto D'Agnese - is symbolically linked, through the figure of Baron Savino Zamagna and the story of his tragic end. It is precisely in this Palace, in fact, that the baron met his death, on a night in which - as was his habit - he wanted to exercise the Ius primae nocti, the infamous right of the feudal Lord to sleep with the bride of one of his subjects on the first night. Zamagna was killed by Gianlorenzo la Monica to defend his young daughter-in-law from the archaic feudal habit, disguising himself as a bride and waiting for the baron in the nuptial bed and treacherously stabbing him.
