They robbed a gas station in Angri aboard a white Fiat Uno.
For that robbery, they were each sentenced to five years in prison. The defendants are 52-year-old Alfonso Pepe and 41-year-old Raffaele Cirota. The sentence, issued after a summary trial, was signed by preliminary hearing judge Valiante. According to investigators, the perpetrator of the robbery was Cirota, while his accomplice Pepe acted as lookout. The gas station owner was threatened with a gun and forced to hand over €1200, equivalent to his daily takings. The two were also charged with receiving stolen goods because the car they were traveling in was reported stolen. The robbery took place on December 27th. The investigation into the two was closed after a house search, which revealed various amounts of cash in their possession, the review of video surveillance footage, and a comparison of the clothing they were wearing. Both remain suspected of being the perpetrators of another series of robberies that occurred during the same period.
