Finding yourself with a car that is no longer working, damaged or otherwise not running. There are several definitions underlying these concepts even if there is often a tendency to get confused; and, above all, there are several paths that could potentially be taken to try to get out of a complicated situation such as having to understand what to do with a car of this kind.
The issue must also be analyzed from another angle, that is, by those who are potentially interested in purchasing a car in these conditions. Could it be a good investment for the user? How profitable could it be to buy, obviously at controlled prices, a car that no longer runs and then try to fix it and therefore obtain a surplus value?
There are intermediaries on the market today who operate in this way, thus providing a service of purchase of damaged cars directly from the owner to then fix them up and resell them; to deal in spare parts; or to try to monetize them in other ways.
Of course, the difference is always made by the extent of the damage suffered: the potential valuation of the car will then depend on this factor, given that, in many cases, the costs of fixing it can even be higher than the final value of the damaged car. And in that case, the game is not worth the candle.
Conversely, if the extent of the damage is such that, once repaired, the car can be put on sale at an acceptable price, then the matter changes completely. Aspects to be thoroughly evaluated because it can happen to anyone to have a car that has been in an accident or that is no longer running for various reasons. And understanding what to do with it becomes a pre-eminent problem.
Whatever path you decide to take, the advice is to turn exclusively to authorized (in the case of intermediaries) and reliable subjects, avoiding believing flattery and promises of any kind; in addition to carrying out each operation in a clean manner, from the transfer of ownership to the preparation of all the documents necessary for the transfer of ownership of the damaged vehicle. The risk of still finding yourself the owner of a vehicle around in some other foreign country is more than ever concrete.
