The Command of the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Camerota has launched the first blitz, coordinated by the Superintendent Giovanni Cammarano, to repress the phenomenon of street vendors who flock to the beaches of the Pearl of Cilento throughout the summer. Some non-EU citizens who illegally occupied the land and sold products without the 'CE' mark ended up in trouble. The Local Police seized the toys, various objects and several headgear. «A hard line for this summer 2018 – say the Mayor of Camerota, Mario Salvatore Scarpitta, and the delegate to the Municipal Police Manfredo D'Alessandro – we will be uncompromising regarding the fight against illegal street vendors. Anyone who comes to our territory must be in order, must have a specific and regular residence and must not sell counterfeit and uncontrolled goods by illegally occupying municipal land. We have a body of Municipal Police who discusses with the Administration every day on the actions to be taken. A special team is ready to deal with repressing this phenomenon which is also harmful for local traders".
