Ten individuals believed to be affiliated with the “Polverino” Camorra clan, active in the hinterland north of Naples and abroad, were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna investigative unit in execution of a custodial order issued by the investigating judge of Naples at the request of the Neapolitan DDA. They will have to answer, to varying degrees, for incitement to retract statements made to the judicial authorities and for theft in a home and damage aggravated by mafia purposes. The arrested individuals, as demonstrated by the Carabinieri investigation coordinated by the DDA, starting in August 2017 intimidated some relatives of a collaborator of justice who with his statements had hit the “Orlando” and “Polverino” clans to push him to make false statements to the magistrates and to retract those already made. The threats were then followed by a burglary in the father-in-law's house: the criminals entered by forcing the front door, taking advantage of the fact that the victims had to leave the apartment urgently for safety reasons. Firecrackers also exploded in the house, damaging the bathroom, walls, doors, furniture and personal effects. Those arrested were all locked up in the Secondigliano penitentiary center.
