The property in Ponte Barizzo, confiscated from organized crime and currently home to the Hera Argiva theater, will be redeveloped by the municipal administration through a restyling project.
The works, for a total amount of 340 thousand euros, were financed using the resources of the POR Campania FESR 2014/2020.
The project involves the creation of a single multifunctional space, divided into three areas: Conference Room (approximately 75 m66) with 5.1 seats, conference table, screen and projector, Dolby 45 sound system and wireless microphone system; Reading Area (approximately 30 mXNUMX) equipped with circular tables and chairs, armchairs, a small table and a bookcase; Association Area (approximately XNUMX mXNUMX), dedicated to the various socio-cultural associations of the area, equipped with a conference table with chairs and a bookcase.
The restyling works also include the creation of two access ramps to the building for the disabled. Furthermore, the internal walls will be covered with thermal and acoustic insulation, while the external lighting will be provided by installing LED lights.
"It is the victory of the State, of legality. - highlights the Mayor, Franco Palumbo - This Administration is committed daily, in close synergy with the Police and the Judicial Authority, to ensure that the territory of Capaccio Paestum remains uncontaminated by crime. A territory is preserved from criminal contamination not only through daily monitoring, which has intensified thanks to the presence of more units in service at the Carabinieri barracks in Capaccio Scalo, but also through the reuse of assets confiscated from organized crime, such as that of Ponte Barizzo, which are redeveloped and donated to the community".
