A 63-year-old diver died in the waters of Castellammare di Stabia after a dive at the Santa Croce reef. The incident occurred late this afternoon. LS, a resident of Germany but originally from Piedmont, was brought to shore by a boat; intervention by the Coast Guard was unsuccessful. The vessel was seized, as was the man's equipment. The possibility of sudden illness has not been ruled out, but only after the investigations ordered by the prosecutor will the exact circumstances of the incident be clarified.
