In the enchanting setting of the Terrazza degli Aranci at La Pergola Restaurant—home of three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck—an exclusive event was held yesterday, June 28th, to present the Guide That Wasn't There: the brand-new guide to the 70 Best Restaurants with Pizzerias in the World, showcasing the full spectrum of Italian gastronomy. Among the 70 award-winning restaurants are five Neapolitan pizzerias: 'a figlia d”o marenaro, Ciro a Mergellina, L'Europeo di Mattozzi, La Scialuppa, and Ristorante Tasso.

The original initiative was made possible thanks to the companies Italmill – Main Sponsor; Nuova Castelli – Golden Sponsor; Dr. Zanolli, Ferrarelle, Imperia & La Monferrina and Molino Dallagiovanna – Silver Sponsor. During the presentation of the event, Chef Heinz Beck declared: “When Enrico Famà told me about his new project to create the Award and Guide for Restaurants that promote Italian cuisine and pizza, I told him that he absolutely had to make the presentation here at La Pergola, in my restaurant”.
The Guide – in Italian and English – presents, in alphabetical order by country, 70 restaurants with pizzerias located on 5 continents in 34 countries: Japan, Australia, United States, Congo, Russia, but also from Chile, United Kingdom ... and of course from Italy.

Among the places featured in the Guide we find Amo – Venezia by Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo, the starred Café Les Paillotes- Granchio Royal – Pescara, La Bottega Siciliana – Mosca by the multi-starred Chef Nino Graziano, Tony's Pizza Napoletana – San Francisco by the multi-World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, Diva Italian – New Delhi by Celebrity Chef Ritu Dalmia, just to name a few, common denominator of the places featured, managed by Italians, but not only, certainly the passion for Italian cuisine, pizza and food. The evening was accompanied by the delicacies of the multi-starred Chef Heinz Beck – famous for the elegance of his creations – which won over those present with their captivating colors and delighted the palates with exquisite and sometimes surprising flavors. At the end of the evening, Enrico Famà, the creator of the project, thanked the Sponsors and all those present and made an appointment for next year with an even more comprehensive Guide and many new features that he and his collaborators are already working on.
