On a night in July 2015, a car carrying an engaged couple, after a night out at the disco, suddenly reversed on the Naples ring road and began a “wrong-way” that lasted six interminable minutes and ended with a crash that killed two people: a father, who was coming from the right direction and was about to go to work, Aniello Miranda, 48 years old, and Livia Barbato, a 21-year-old artist who was on board the car (which was coming from the wrong direction) driven by In Mormile, a 28-year-old DJ, who miraculously escaped unscathed from the explosion. What happened in those six minutes of driving the wrong way and why, in that car purchased only two days earlier by that good guy, Livia's boyfriend for two years, a graduate like her from the Academy of Fine Arts? The story is told in a book "Viaggio al centro della notte" written by the journalist Luca Maurelli (Guida Editori). In July 2016 Mormile was convicted of double voluntary homicide. The appeal trial ended yesterday with a conviction for manslaughter to ten years and two months. Foreword by Simonetta Matone, deputy attorney general of the Court of Appeal of Rome. Introduction by Maria Bianca Farina di, president of Ania (national association of insurance companies) and of the Foundation of the same name, committed to the issue of road prevention and safety. Afterword, Don Antonio Mazzi, president of the Exodus foundation, always committed to the issues of youth distress, drugs, alcohol, for years on TV as a host and commentator. Contributions and patronage of Gazebo Rosa, Aigvs (Italian Association of Young Road Victims), Associazione Vis (Vittime accident stradale).
