A sort of "manual" containing "instructions" on what to do if something went wrong in the scheme to defraud insurance companies. It was found in the Milanese home of Antonietta Biancaniello, who has been in prison since last December along with her son Raffaele Rullo for the murder of footballer Andrea La Rosa. It is part of a new investigation into an alleged criminal conspiracy to defraud insurance companies worth over €130 between 2014 and 2017. In addition to the mother and son, four other family members are also under investigation. The "sheet," found in the woman's apartment on Via Cogne, contained the following message: "What to tell a hypothetical insurance company in the event of a potential investigation." As stated in the new house arrest order for the 35-year-old and his mother, signed by Milan's investigating judge, Giulio Fanales, the gang's modus operandi "consisted of sourcing accident-damaged vehicles" and using "multiple bank accounts, in the names of multiple people, to which compensation payments were made," as well as "a network of contacts to conceal vehicles, which were falsely reported stolen." This mechanism, the order continues, "orchestrated by Rullo (considered the gang's instigator, ed.) and was well-oiled." According to the judge, the 35-year-old has a "particular capacity for crime," also considering the "ongoing investigations" into the murder. He was the one "who procured the accident-damaged cars, having them registered in the names of the other participants, who identified the insurance companies, as well as chose the locations of the simulated thefts" and even "who gave actual instructions to the participants on what to say in the event of a complaint and any investigations by the insurance companies".
