On Thursday, June 21, on the occasion of the European Music Festival, students from all the music high schools in the Metropolitan City of Naples will perform a repertoire of pieces by the most famous composers. The event draws to a close to conclude the project “Music and dance high schools in the places of Music”, within the framework of an agreement signed last December 2017 between the Metropolitan City of Naples, the San Carlo Theatre Foundation, the Trianon Viviani Theatre, the Cives Foundation and the school directors of eleven institutes: “Melissa Bassi” Music High School of Naples, “Francesco Grandi” Music High School of Sorrento, “Giuseppe Moscati” Music High School of Sant'Antimo, “Margherita di Savoia” Music High School of Naples, “Bruno Munari” Music High School of Acerra, “Boccioni Palizzi” Music and Dance High School of Naples, “Francesco Severi” Music High School of Castellammare di Stabia, “Giampiero Albertini” Music High School of Nola, “Antonio Rosmini” Music High School of Palma Campania, “Pitagora – Croce” Music High School of Torre Annunziata, Dance High School “Pascal” of Pompeii.
For this great Music Festival, the Archaeological Park will open the doors of nine sites to students from 10.00:12.00 to 12.30:13.30, who will entertain groups of tourists who will be visiting the Excavations that day with music by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Vivaldi, Rossini, Paisiello, among others. The locations chosen for the performances are: the Pistrinum and Bottega di Sex. Patulcius Felix (Percussion), Terme Maschili (guitars), Terrazza di Marco Nonio Balbo (Wind instruments), Terrazza Casa dei Cervi (Electric piano and Choirs), Decumano Massimo (Electric keyboard and Choirs), Sede degli Augustali (Guitars – second station), Piscina della Palestra (Strings), Casa del Tramezzo di Legno (Harp), Casa dell’Albergo (Piano). From 16.30:19.00 to 19.30:XNUMX pm, the auditorium of the Virtual Archaeological Museum of Ercolano will host choreographies with instrumental accompaniment by students of the Boccioni Palizzi musical and choreographic high schools of Naples and Pascal of Pompeii. The Royal Palace of Portici will host students from XNUMX:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, who will perform between the Fountain of Victory and the Chinese Hall and the Prairie in the lower woods. The day will end at XNUMX:XNUMX pm with a final concert by students of the musical schools, directed by maestros Paolo Di Lorenzo and Giovanni Grima and with the participation of bass Carmine Durante and tenor Ivan Lualdi. During the final concert, the documentary spot “Le cose belle” of the Metropolitan City of Naples, directed by actor-director Gianfranco Gallo, will be screened.
