Over 1000 items of counterfeit clothing were seized by the Caserta Financial Police in Castel Volturno. The operation was carried out by the Mondragone Company, who had suspicions about a 50-year-old woman with a criminal record for fraud. The hypothesis was that she might be selling counterfeit clothing herself, perhaps even to stores, fueling a highly profitable business. The Guardia di Finanza's search was immediately fruitful; in the woman's garage, several packages were found, still packaged as they had recently been delivered, containing clothing from the most famous fashion brands. 950 items, including shirts, shorts, and swimsuits bearing the counterfeit brands of Gucci, Emporio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, and Philipp Plein, which the 50-year-old claimed to have purchased online, but which, based on the packaging, were actually shipped from Poland. All the merchandise was seized.
