Death Threats and Voodoo Rituals to Other Residents, Arrested

The Carabinieri of Acireale arrested a 52-year-old man pursuant to a pre-trial detention order issued by the Catania investigating judge for stalking and extortion. The man was the target of his apartment building's violence, engaging in aggressive and threatening behavior that resulted in several acts of vandalism (defacing walls with phrases containing unspeakable, intimidating epithets) or shouting at the top of his lungs from the courtyard, "If you look out from the balcony, I'll kill you." This escalation culminated with the "demand" that one of the residents provide him with a free garage and the most macabre depiction, inspired by voodoo rituals, of a doll's head pierced with an iron pin, affixed to a wall of the building, with the slogan "You will suffer this end." The investigation by the Carabinieri of Acireale, delegated to the investigation by the Catania Public Prosecutor's Office, led to the issuing of a restraining order, resulting in the arrest of the suspect, who was taken to prison.
