The first help desk to provide assistance to citizens seeking to resolve out-of-control debt will open in Naples' Piazza Dante. The initiative was born out of an agreement between Medì, the debt resolution body of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Naples, and the Second Municipality of Naples. It will be presented tomorrow, Thursday, June 28, at 12:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Second Municipality, Council Chamber, Piazza Dante 93.
“Law 3/2012, commonly called Salva Suicidi, represents an important opportunity for the deserving consumer, providing a plan for those who have become over-indebted in good faith,” explained Vincenzo Moretta, president of the Odcec of Naples. “Accountants, through specialization and professionalism – he added -, represent a fundamental support for healing the debt situation.”
The promoter of the initiative Riccardo Izzo, founder of Medì and representative of the Occ, explained: "it is essential to spread this extraordinary tool as widely as possible, socially indispensable to give a second chance to families in crisis, in addition to being a professional opportunity for many colleagues. "It is an extraordinary opportunity for those who find themselves in serious financial difficulty", underlined Matteo De Lise, delegated councilor of the Neapolitan accountants. "With this procedure, debts can be reduced and the approval of the over-indebtedness plan involves the suspension of any action implemented by creditors that could cause harm to the debtor's assets. This last aspect - he underlined - is very important, since it allows you to protect your personal and family assets with the assistance of an accountant expert in the procedures".
