Naples. Architect Aldo Loris Rossi, a native of Bisaccia in Irpinia, has died at the age of 85. He taught Architectural Design for many years at the Faculty of Architecture of Federico II University, an exponent of Italian Rationalism. He was a Radical candidate in the 2013 Basilicata regional elections. He designed numerous projects, including the Port Workers' Home in the port of Naples, a residential building on Via San Giacomo dei Capri in Naples, the Moregine Circumvesuviana station in Castellammare di Stabia, and the parish complex of Santa Maria della Libera in Portici. He also signed the urban plan for Bisaccia for reconstruction after the 1980 earthquake.
