The facts narrated in the press release issued by this Press Office yesterday evening, tell of the arrest of PG operated by the agents of the General Prevention Office against CI, a 29-year-old Russian national, suspected of the crime of attempted robbery against Bosnian tourists in via Alessandro Poerio. The two tourists were staying in a B&B and were followed by the criminal who managed to enter with them inside the building where the accommodation facility remains, almost as if he were a customer like them.
Suddenly, he approached the woman, took a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at them, demanding in English “money money”.
The couple, terrified by the man, tried to escape from the building, and while the woman was reaching the door, the man tried to snatch her bag, but was unsuccessful, he violently pushed her, throwing her into the glass of the building, which shattered, injuring the unfortunate woman, and then he quickly fled.
The police intervened immediately, collecting a detailed description of the robber and immediately launching a search for the subject. They also acquired, in a very short time, the video surveillance footage, recognizing the CI themselves, who is a character known to the police, who was later recognized by the victims without a shadow of a doubt.
In fact, after having accompanied the victims to the office to formalize the complaint, the agents carried out a reconnaissance in the areas adjacent to the crime scene, and in Via Pontecorvo, not far from Via A. Poerio they tracked down the Russian citizen who was trying to disappear but was promptly stopped and accompanied for the formalities ex legis, first to the offices and then taken to the Poggioreale prison.
