Ninety-nine works, including feature films and short films, in competition at the forty-eighth edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, scheduled from July 20 to 28. Among these, a good 5601 were made and produced in Italy. Four thousand five hundred films entered in pre-selection that the Giffoni management team carefully evaluated, to then choose the list to submit to the XNUMX jurors present. Generational conflicts, diversity, bullying, migrations, feelings, doubts, adolescence, personal growth, just some of the deep and complex stories told.
A commitment of great responsibility, which has taken into account not only the novelties and innovations that constantly overwhelm and change the world of cinema, but also the strongest and most sensitive themes for the young generations from every part of the world. This with a complex selection process, always looking for new, particular, unique stories. Eight competitive sections in which they will be presented: Elements +3 (from 3 to 5 years), Elements +6 (from 6 to 9 years), Elements +10 (from 10 to 12 years), Generator +13 (from 13 to 16 years), Generator +16 (from 16 to 17 years), Generator +18 (18 years and up), Gex Doc (documentary section dedicated to filmgoers) and Parental Experience (composed entirely of short films aimed at an audience of parents). As per tradition, it will be the jurors, coming from fifty-two countries, who will decree the winners of the Gryphon Award.
