"After more or less a year of Di Sarno's administration, we are already starting to talk about a cabinet reshuffle and new structures in the majority. These are aspects that interest me relatively: this coalition was born on a compromise and as such will always have difficulties in coexisting. What is painful, however, is having to register a great, extraordinary absence: care for the suburbs". This was declared by Celestino Allocca, Forza Italia city councilor and former mayoral candidate in Somma Vesuviana.
Allocca continues: “Those who followed the election campaign (and a year is not such a long period) will remember very well that the suburbs of Somma Vesuviana were at the center of the debate. The current mayor has explained several times that he would take care of them, that he would enhance them, that he would not abandon them. And instead under the heading “suburbs” there is nothing. Zero. I will present a question to the city council to find out what this administration has done and intends to do for the suburbs and for those who live there. There are many things to do: road maintenance, improvement of connections, attention to public lighting, enhancement of the social and cultural resources present in those areas. But without adequate commitment, the promises will always remain such.”
