Pompeii. Attack on a 22-year-old on the Circumvesuviana, the leader of the group has been sentenced. Luciano Formisano, the 33-year-old who started the ferocious attack on the 22-year-old from Ercolano, Gaetano Madonna, has been sentenced by the Court of Torre Annunziata. The 33-year-old will have to serve a sentence of 6 years and 8 months. For the other defendant, Pasquale Manzo, 30-year-old from Boscoreale, the plea bargain was accepted and the sentence is 2 and a half years. Just over two months ago, the minors who took part in the beating were also arrested. The two were transferred to a community but will face trial at the juvenile court in Naples. If the others participated in the beating with violence, Formisano is accused of having led the despicable act against the 22-year-old who is guilty only of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. For Formisano, another arrest warrant also arrived for a mugging on board a Circumvesuviana train that occurred a few days earlier in Vico Equense. The 33-year-old was captured in a few days thanks to the victim's testimony and the video surveillance images of the Pompei station in which, moreover, people were seen walking away and a ticket collector was seen denying help to the victim.
