Pozzuoli, man who killed his mother in prison on charges of voluntary homicide

Pozzuoli. Aggravated voluntary manslaughter was the charge on which Giovanni Guglielmo, the 32-year-old man who killed his 59-year-old mother, Silvana Petrone, was arrested and transferred to the Poggioreale prison in Naples. The man, who suffers from mental illness and is being treated at a specialized center, and who had attempted suicide twice in recent years, offered no further details after turning himself in at the local police station and providing investigators with the location of the murder.
