Post Office Robbery with Hatchet: Manhunt in Caserta

He committed a robbery with an unusual weapon for such crimes: a hatchet. After wounding the post office manager, he fled on foot. It happened this morning shortly after 8:00 a.m. in Trentola Ducenta, in the Caserta area, where a massive manhunt is currently underway. The slim, agile man was wearing a balaclava covering his face. Shortly after 8:00 a.m., he entered the post office on Via Circumvallazione and demanded the money from the cashier. After wounding the manager in the head, he fled on foot. He was also photographed climbing over a low fence near the post office by a resident who happened to be in the area. Police and Carabinieri are now on his trail.
