“Campania holds the record for memberships to 'Resto al Sud' (the Invitalia incentive that supports the creation of new entrepreneurial activities started by young people in the regions of Southern Italy) with 1.413 applications submitted, equal to 44% of the total, of which 653 relate to the province of Naples alone. The projects approved to be admitted to the incentives are 297, corresponding to 45% of the total. The sectors on which requests for relief have been concentrated in the Campania region are for more than half (53%) the tourism and cultural sector and the artisanal and manufacturing sector (22%). Vincenzo Moretta, president of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Naples, announced this while opening the forum “From idea to project: financing opportunities for young people. The role of Banca Mps in the Resto al Sud measure”. The initiative was born from the need to offer new generations the appropriate consultancy to be able to access the incentives allocated by public bodies and allow them to realize their business plans. “It is a difficult time for the new generation of our country – added Moretta – Young accountants are not excluded from this particular context, indeed they are affected by the crisis and the drop in income. However, there is room for growth, especially by focusing on skills, training and specialization: in this way it will be easier for professionals, especially those under 35, to enter the world of work, create and manage a portfolio of clients". “With this initiative, the Bank reaffirms its commitment to Campania and its growth. In the Campania region – stated Giovanni Maione, general manager of the Southern and Sicilian territorial area of Banca Mps – we have a team of specialists and two resources dedicated to subsidized finance capable of providing specific and complete consultancy. Among the various initiatives we participate in, Resto al Sud confirms our desire to enhance talents, ideas and projects. Development, competitiveness and innovation in our country pass through the human capital of young people who represent our heritage and our future". Resto al Sud is a measure aimed exclusively at young people between 18 and 35 years old. The sum made available by the National Agency for Investment Attraction and Business Development is equal to 1 billion and 250 million euros and at the moment the applications submitted are 3.195, those in the process of being filled out are 6.382. The meeting was also attended by Concetta Riccio, delegated councilor of the financial incentives commission of the Odcec; Silvio Cinquegrana, head of the subsidized finance sector of Banca Mps; Monica Palumbo, president of the Financial Incentives Commission; Patrizio Carbone (member of the Scientific Coordination of the Financial Incentives Commission of Odcec Naples and Councilor of the Valle di Lauro Tourist District, Alto-Clanis, Invitalia accredited body for the Resto al Sud measure); Agostino Ingenito (national president of the Italian Association of Hospitality and Widespread Receptivity Managers and president of the Bed & Breakfast Association). The conclusions were entrusted to the Neapolitan accountant Gustavo Valle, an expert in corporate finance. The event provided an opportunity for professionals to discuss credit access options, the steps needed to obtain the facility, and overall collaborative efforts to provide effective support to applicants.
