"Teatri in Blu" returns to Cetara, the second edition of the maritime theater festival conceived and directed by Vincenzo Albano and organized by the Erre Teatro cultural association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cetara, which sold out last year. "The Maria Antonietta tuna fishery is transformed into a stage, thanks also to the collaborative spirit of Captain Pasquale della Monica," explains artistic director Vincenzo Albano, who is supported by local sponsors large and small for the post-show tasting on board (Iasa, Acqua Pazza, Agro Cetus, Al Convento, La Cianciola, Pane e Coccos', San Pietro, and the Roberto Virtuoso Hotel Institute of Salerno). This year, the program is enhanced with two events in the square, one at the opening and one at the closing—on June 30th and August 11th—the only ones with free admission and no reservation required. The event begins in Piazzetta Grotta on June 30th at 9:30 pm with CONCERTO BLU, a tribute to Domenico Modugno, featuring Lalla Esposito and Antonio Ottaviano on piano. On July 7th and 8th, with boarding at 9 pm at Porto Marittimo, Principio Attivo Teatro presents "DIGIUNANDO DAVANTI AL MARE," a story about Danilo Dolci; a project by Giuseppe Semeraro, written by Francesco Niccolini with Giuseppe Semeraro, and directed by Francesco Saccomanno. On July 19th and 20th, again aboard the tuna fishery, Teatro Pubblico Incanto presents "NIÑO," written and directed by Tino Caspanello with Cinzia Muscolino. On August 4th and 5th, at the Maria Antonietta tuna fishery, Francesca Pica, under the guidance of Le belle bandiere, presents MARE – Mirabolanti Antichi Racconti Eoliani, based on Aeolian folk tales collected by anthropologist Marilena Macrina Maffei; by and with Francesca Pica, and supervised by Elena Bucci. The series concludes in Largo Marina on August 11th, beginning at 9:30 pm, with Area µ featuring KETEIA – Storie di mare, by and with Luca Salemmi and Lara Gallo. Teatri in Blu's media partners are Puracultura, Scene Contemporanee, and Theatron 2.0.
