There are already several thousand people crowding the internal avenues of Milan's Parco Sempione to participate in the multi-ethnic table promoted by the Municipality and associations to reaffirm the city's desire to welcome and integrate.
At 'Ricetta Milano', as the big lunch is called, about 6 thousand people have signed up to participate so far, but more are expected because many more are signing up this morning, as the organizers explained. There are over 500 volunteers lined up to man the table that is over 2 and a half kilometers long. The day will be kicked off by the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, and the archbishop, Monsignor Mario Delpini. The writer Roberto Saviano will speak in the afternoon.
