A dispute between father and son may have been the cause of the tragedy that occurred last night on a farm in the quiet countryside of Taverna Zarone, a hamlet of Teano. Here, 72-year-old entrepreneur Franco Fioretti killed his 44-year-old son Felice and his 63-year-old wife Angela with a legally licensed hunting rifle, then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The couple had another daughter, who, however, lives in Emilia Romagna, while Fioretti's brother, who was on vacation in Ischia yesterday, owns a large nursery in the same area. In the bar in the small hamlet of Taverna Zarone, crossed by the Casilina state road, the only talk is of Franco and his actions. No one can explain it, although everyone agrees that Fioretti's wife didn't like the countryside, making it at least strange for her to be there last night. Some people reported hearing screams, likely between father and son arguing, and then the shots rang out. On the 72-year-old's farm, immediately after the duct tape was applied by the Carabinieri from the Teano station, the first to respond, bloodstains were visible on the ground in front of the farmhouse and near the cherry trees ready to be picked. Last night, the Carabinieri first found the body of 44-year-old Felice, shot in the abdomen, a few meters ahead, that of his father, and to the left, toward the trees, the body of his wife, who may have tried to intervene when her husband shot his son after the argument.
