“Attempted illicit activity”, according to Ansa, this is the accusation that the FIGC Prosecutor Giuseppe Pecoraro makes against Parma and its players, Calaiò and Ceravolo, for the case of the text messages sent to their colleagues at Spezia before the last championship match. The Prosecutor's Office closed the investigation today, communicating the violation of article 7 to the interested parties, thus opening the procedure for referral. In the event of a sanction, Parma risks Serie A. The investigation by the Federal Prosecutor's Office started from a report by Spezia, regarding two text messages sent by the players of the Emilian club to their Ligurian colleagues Filippo De Col and Alberto Masi. The messages were allegedly sent four days before the May 19 Spezia-Parma match that ended 0-2 (Ceravolo and Ciciretti scored), a match that allowed the team coached by Roberto D'Aversa, thanks to Foggia's draw in Frosinone, to win Serie A. Calaiò and Ceravolo were questioned on June 8 in Rome by the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FIGC, as were two players and two managers of the Ligurian club.
