Three LGBT activists were shot dead and their bodies left along a highway in the troubled southern Mexican state of Guerrero. Local security spokesman Roberto Alvarez said the bodies of the three were found with bullet wounds to the head, abandoned on the road between Taxco and Cuernavaca. The official said the killings may be related to extortion. Four people in possession of weapons and drugs were arrested, one of them suspected of murder. The victims have been identified as Ruben Estrada, a leader of the gay community in the city of Taxco, and activists Carlos Uriel Lopez and Roberto Vega.
