The state of degradation of the structure had led to the closure of the stadium for over two months, last year, between August and October; then the facility reopened but with significant requirements dictated by the then President of the Province Silvio Lavornia, such as being able to host just two hundred people. Significant in these months were also the economic losses of the approximately 20 sports clubs that run swimming courses and other activities. Moreover, many clubs were not even up to date with payments to the Province. “In just three months – said the President of the Province Giorgio Magliocca – the economic accounts have been put back in order, and we are offering a sports service to the provincial community in total safety, with the Caserta Swimming Stadium having all the certifications in order; this structure will become a source of income for the coffers of the Authority and its flagship”. It was the new administration of Agisap (Agency for the Management of Provincial Sports Facilities), which took office in March upon Magliocca's nomination, that carried out the necessary work for approximately 30 thousand euros, bringing the electrical system up to standard and providing the structure with all the missing certifications.
