Another success for singer Franco Ricciardi and the film "Ammore e Malavita" by the Manetti Bros., in a year that can be considered extraordinary for the Neapolitan artist's career. The film "Ammore e Malavita" won the 2018 Nastro d'Argento for Best Soundtrack and Best Original Song, curated by Pivio Scalzi, with lyrics by Nelson and performance by Franco Ricciardi. After winning the David di Donatello, the second of his career, Ricciardi also takes home the prestigious Nastro d'Argento, which saw him take the stage at the Teatro dei Greci in Taormina once again as a winner on Saturday night. "Bang Bang" and "O'Secondo" are some of the songs performed by Franco Ricciardi on the soundtrack of the already box office hit, which with yet another award bolsters the film career of the singer from the northern suburbs of Naples thanks to his partnership with the Manetti brothers, who also starred together in the film "Song e Napule." "My first Nastro d'Argento was colored blue because of the emotion I experienced, because of the closeness of so many friends with whom I continue to share my artistic journey, and above all because this time too, Naples was in my heart. Just like on the David di Donatello stage, here in Taormina, while Serena Rossi and I performed in front of that huge audience, I couldn't help but think of my city. Of those who have been close to me over the years and those who continue to do so despite the difficulties. I'm sure I'll continue to do great things together with the Manetti Bros, but, just for what they've helped me experience over the years, I can never thank them enough. I wholeheartedly dedicate this award to my city. But to that city that welcomes, that doesn't marginalize, that respects those living in difficult conditions, whether they are Neapolitans from the suburbs or illegal immigrants seeking a better life," said Franco Ricciardi. Ricciardi's Nastro d'Argento and David di Donatello awards were joined by the Ciak d'Oro for Best Song, which he collected on June 7th. This season has been nothing short of extraordinary for the Neapolitan "Black Heart."
