A tourist bus struck a 16-year-old boy, crushing him against one of the railings along the main road in the Amalfi area. The incident occurred this morning, around 10:118 a.m. Emergency medical services arrived on the scene and transported the injured man to the hospital in Ravello. From there, he was transferred by air ambulance from the port of Maiori to the San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona hospital in Salerno. At the hospital in Salerno, doctors are performing delicate surgery. His condition is serious. According to reports, the driver of the bus, owned by a local travel company, apparently failed to notice the boy while maneuvering on the narrow road connecting Salerno to the Amalfi Coast. He struck him, forcing him against the railing on Via Pantaleone Comite, near a well-known hotel. The investigations were entrusted to the Amalfi municipal police officers.
