Failed Kalashnikov Attack on Highway Cash Truck: Hunt for Gang

A massive manhunt has been launched throughout the province of Avellino following today's attack on the armored vehicle belonging to the Avellino security company, "Cosmopol." A gang of robbers blocked the vehicle along the road connecting Candela to Foggia. Dozens of Kalashnikov rounds were fired. A truck was parked across one lane to block traffic, while other criminals gave chase. Three-pointed nails were scattered across the asphalt. The attack was foiled by the armored vehicle's alarm system. The robbers were forced to flee. The Carabinieri have launched an investigation. A burned-out car, most likely the same one used by the gang, was found.
