From New Orleans to Los Angeles, from Switzerland to Belgrade, on a journey to the ends of the earth, to the roots of the blues, but with broad leaps towards the new avant-gardes.
The powerful sound of the Baronissi Blues Festival is about to explode with an extraordinary lineup (scheduled for July 17-19, 2018), which pushes beyond its limits, exceeding previous editions and any expectations among fans of the genre, hosting great protagonists of the international music scene.
The Baronissi Blues Festival is an event promoted by the Cultural Association “Tutti Suonati” in synergy with the Municipality of Baronissi and with the moral patronage of the Campania Region. The event is part of the summer events program of the “Baronissi Fest”.
On stage, exclusively for Italy Joe Colombo Trio (Tuesday 17 July), exclusively for Southern Italy Ana Popovic in full band (Wednesday 18 July) and grand finale with Andy J Forest in full band (Thursday 19 July). The live openings will be entrusted to The Bubbles, Blue Cat Blues and Roberto J Whiter & Ginny Vee.
The concerts will be open to the public with free admission. The goal, in fact, is to allow everyone to experience beauty through the promotion of culture.
The blues and solidarity duo is also renewed through the partnership, for the fourth consecutive year, with the Avsi Foundation, committed to promoting the dignity of the person, with particular attention to the education of children. After the “distance support” in favor of hospitals in Syria and children in refugee camps, the 2018 edition supports the project “Iraq. A nursery for Qaraqosh” to rebuild and open a new nursery school “because the future starts with children and the greatest global emergency is education”. A program of the Tende Campaign that this year will be characterized by the word “home”, explored in its concrete and symbolic meaning… “concrete as the buildings that need to be rebuilt where the militias of terror have set fire to or looted everything and symbolic as a reminder of the need for care specific to every man and woman”. All the details will be defined in a press conference on Wednesday 11 July at 11 am in the conference room of the Frac Museum of Baronissi in via Convento, inside the gallery of the friars of the Capuchin Convent of the SS Trinità.
