Inspections are underway to ensure compliance with current municipal and state maritime ordinances, basic rules of civilized living that must be enforced by residents and tourists, and which help maintain the decorum of the Municipality of Castellabate. Under the direction of Councilor for Tourism and Culture Luisa Maiuri and Councilor for State Property Marco Di Biasi, Municipal Police Commander Massimiliano Gabriele Falcone has already launched the "Safe Beaches" operation to combat illegal street vendors by seizing goods. In close collaboration with the Castellabate Coast Guard, led by Commander Sandro Rizzo, the White Helmets are conducting a series of checks along the coastline to verify compliance with the rules on the beaches. A tough stance will also be taken to combat bad habits, such as loud noises, unauthorized occupation of public land, and illegal trading. It will also ban bare-chested strolling and bathing suits in public establishments. It will also emphasize the mandatory removal of animal waste and adherence to the recycling schedule. This summer, surprise nighttime operations will also be carried out to seize beach umbrellas left on the beach after sunset. The "safe stay" operation has already begun, with widespread enforcement of tourist tax and holiday accommodations not in compliance with Regional Law No. 17. Councilor for Tourism and Culture Luisa Maiuri stated regarding zero-tolerance activities: "In Castellabate, a tourist town internationally recognized for its good living amidst nature, beauty, and tradition, we must put a stop to instances of bad habits, degradation, and incivility. These phenomena today deserve the attention of local authorities, law enforcement, and an active and informed citizenry."
