Cilento is mourning the death of young chef Nicola Pacifico, a teacher at the Agropoli hotel management school, who died in a car accident on the Alburni state road 166. The 31-year-old, originally from Roccadaspide, was on his way to work when he crashed his motorcycle into a Ford Focus that had suddenly left a side street. The crash was violent, and despite wearing a helmet, Nicola died instantly. Ambulances and law enforcement officers were on the scene to conduct investigations to determine the cause of the accident. The driver of the Ford has been charged with vehicular homicide. News of Nicola Pacifico's death quickly spread through the Cilento area, where the young chef, who has a twin brother, was well-known for his passion for cooking.
