The Maurizio Sarri era begins at Chelsea, which, according to the contract, should last at least three years. The Tuscan former Napoli player is the 13th manager of the Abramovich era, who became Chelsea's owner in 2003. This means that in 15 years the Russian magnate has changed coach almost every year. But all this does not worry Antonio Conte's successor, who intends to entertain, after those of Empoli and Napoli, also the Blues fans, proposing his game that on his new club's website is defined as "sparkling". But compared to his recent past, the difference is that in London they will also demand trophies from Sarri: we must not forget that Conte may have been fired, but in the space of twelve months he has brought a Premier League title and an FA Cup to Stamford Bridge. "I can't wait to start my job," commented Sarri, who appears happy in the ritual photos. I hope to be able to offer our supporters entertaining football and to be in the running until the end of the season for the trophies that the Chelsea people deserve”. In addition to the arrival of Sarri, the Blues have made official that of Jorginho, who preferred to join his maestro in London, rather than accept the rich offer from Manchester City, with whom De Laurentiis had reached an agreement. The Italian-Brazilian who will once again be the central linchpin of Sarri's game has signed a five-year contract, while it is not known how much he was paid. The tabloids claim, however, that his price was 60 million euros plus bonuses, a total that also includes the amount of Sarri's release clause. The latter, in order to be released, allegedly committed to De Laurentiis not to ask for other Napoli players, and this means that Koulibaly will remain where he is now. But this does not mean that the new Blues coach will give up shopping in Italy: it is known that his targets play in Serie A, and now all that remains is to sit down at a table with the Juventus management to define the details of the negotiations for Higuain and Rugani. Sarri absolutely wants them with him, and Juve, who want to recover at least part of the money spent on Cristiano Ronaldo, are willing to negotiate having also received the green light from the two players. The Alisson deal could prove more complicated, but Abramovich could break the ice by offering the Roma sporting director Monchi the 70 million euros requested by the Giallorossi club. A super Chelsea is therefore being prepared, which could also include Inter's Vecino, another old favourite of Sarri's.
