The second installment of "Vietri Cultura," the annual program of cultural events and performances underway in Vietri sul Mare, kicks off with the "Vietri in Scena" program, which concludes on August 2nd. On Saturday, July 14th, at 9:00 PM, the concert "Rossini Renaissance Eating, Loving, Singing, and Digesting...", curated by Filippo Morace and Rosalba Vestini, will take place on the stage of the Villa Comunale in the main coastal town.
For the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Gioacchino Rossini's death, a memory that evokes a smile, the ironic sense of life. His music, with timeless masterpieces, fascinates for its lightness, sometimes for the comedy of the stories, and last but not least for his desire for good living that make him appear a bon vivant, not only in his compositions, but also in his daily life: Rossini was born in Pesaro in 1792, you could not expect him to have the precision of Beethoven or the drama of Verdi! A century and a half after his death, the show wants to commemorate this great Italian composer who, aware of his own genius, never took himself too seriously, but left eternal works to posterity for the joy of his audience. The singers who will perform are Christian d'Aquino; Maurizio Bove; Nicola Ciancio; Camilla Farias; Lucia Sepe; Dorothy Manzo; Gaetano Amore; Antonio Cappetta; Rosita Rendina; Rosaria Armenante; Francesca Siani; Daniele Lettieri; Sara Zito; Marta De Marino. The pianists are Roberta Masullo; Lorena Oliva; Fausta Gallo; Francesca Albano; Antonio Gionti. Free admission.
Free admission subject to availability.
