At the Royal Botanical Garden of Naples, the theater and literature events continue as part of the “Brividi d'Estate 2018” festival, an idea by Annamaria Russo, supported by the Federico II University of Naples and with the patronage of the municipality of Naples.
Five events for the second week of programming of the festival, from Wednesday 4 to Monday 9 July, with four shows on stage and the original format of Murder Mystery Dinner. The program will propose, on Wednesday 4 July, the show “Era mio Padre”, with Paolo Cresta and Zac Alderman. A romantic and dramatic epic at the same time, in which the author dusts off the memory of his father. An act of love towards the memory of those who continued to live inside him over the years. A poignant journey in search of the meaning of life and things. Thursday 5 July will be the turn of “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” by Richard Bach, with Nico Ciliberti, Francesco Desiato and Giacinto Piracci. It is the story of a seagull who discovers the beauty of soaring in the sky, of being able to fly not to get food, but to go in search of freedom. Small and unconventional, Jonathan Livingston Seagull manages to glimpse a new path to follow, a path that takes him away from the banality and emptiness of his flock's life. Friday 6th is the first appointment with the original format of the Murder Mystery Dinner and Saturday 7th (repeated on Sunday 8th), the performance of Processo ad una strega by Annamaria Russo, with Marianita Carfora, Paolo Cresta, Bruno Minotti, Andrea De Rosa, Ramona Tripodi, Renato De Simone and the instrumental and vocal Ensemble Musica Reservata. A text taken from the records of a trial of the Holy Tribunal of the Inquisition. A show that starts from the dark history of the 600th century to tell the eternal story of prejudice that becomes madness. The second week of programming will close on Monday 9th July with Roberto Azzurro, performer and director of Per oggi non si cade by Manlio Santanelli. The text is conceived as a torrential succession of episodes, which see the citizens of Naples experiment for an entire day with an unusual natural phenomenon, namely the temporal suspension of the force of gravity.
