The theater and literature events continue in the enchanting setting of the Royal Botanical Garden of Naples, which continues to be the natural stage for the Brividi d'Estate 2018 festival, an idea by Annamaria Russo, supported by the sensitivity and collaboration of the Federico II University of Naples, which manages the park, and with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples.
Six events for the second week of programming of the festival, from Tuesday 10 to Monday 16 July 2018, with five shows on stage and the original Murder Mystery Dinner, which will continue to give thrills, charm and great emotions.
The program will propose, Tuesday 10 July, Il Paese di chi se ne va written and directed by Francesca Muoio, with Anna Carla Broegg, Marianita Carfora, Cesare D'Arco, Morena di Leva, Valeria Frallicciardi, Francesca Muoio, Davide Paciolla, Antonio Perna, Enrico Sortino, Luca Trezza. A reconstruction of unreal events, a tribal and eternal merry-go-round in which life and death, holding hands, stubbornly turn desperately and joyfully together.
The review will continue with two events, Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 July, respectively with Visite by Vargas Llosa, with Marcella Vitiello and Roberto Cardone, directed by Niko Mucci, and with I Guardiani by Maurizio De Giovanni with Raffaele Ausiello, Marianita Carfora, Bruno Minotti, Matteo Giardiello, Ianua Coeli Linhart, Marco Palumbo, Peppe Romano, Ramona Tripodi, Letizia Vicidomini, Adriana D'Agostino and the participation of Maurizio De Giovanni, in the adaptation and direction by Ramona Tripodi
The second weekend of programming will begin on Friday, July 13, with the second episode of Murder Mystery Dinner, and continue on Saturday, July 14 (repeated on Sunday, July 15) with Tu Mio by Erri De Luca, with Nico Ciliberti, Francesco Desiato and Giacinto Piracci, directed by Annamaria Russo. Tu mio is an alienating love story, set against the backdrop of the island of Ischia. The sea, the music, the voices of the fishermen and the more distant voices of a recently ended war: the fresco of a difficult era and age.
On Monday 16th July, Annamaria Russo and Ciro Sabatino's The Last Night of the Prince of Sansevero will be on stage, with Marco Palumbo and Andrea de Rosa. It is the night of 22nd March 1771, when the greatest scholar, philosopher and alchemist of Naples will die. Raimondo de Sangro, the Prince of Sansevero is bent over his work table, cluttered with alembics, vials and a chalice. Behind him there is a shadow, the profile of Giuseppe Sanmartino, the man who sculpted the Veiled Christ, on the night of revelations and secrets.
