Two projects, one good cause: breaking down the wall of silence on gender violence. “From school to cinema, the power of words in preventing gender violence” is the 'manifesto' with which two important initiatives will unite on Tuesday morning that see the Salerno area as a protagonist in the prevention and fight against the phenomenon: “Lo scrigno di Alice”, a pilot project created by the Department of Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Salerno, in collaboration with the IC “Alfano – Quasimodo” and ITIS “Basilio Focaccia” schools, with the contribution of the associations ASPIC Salerno, A Voce Alta Salerno and Violenze Sommerse, and “Credo in un Solo Padre”, a cinematographic work produced by Gianni Pagliazzi and Around Culture and directed by Luca Guardabascio, inspired by too many true stories of abuse and violence against women and aimed at challenging the code of silence on the subject. The press conference, promoted under the aegis of the Department of Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Salerno, will take place on Tuesday morning, at 11 am, at the Salone dei Marmi of Palazzo di Città.
Together with Mayor Vincenzo Napoli and the relevant Councilor Gaetana Falcone, representatives of the Associations involved in “Lo Scrigno di Alice” will speak – Daniela Marinelli of ASPIC Salerno, Fabio Martino of the non-profit organization A Voce Alta, Luigi Frezza of the Associazione Violenze Sommerse, Federica Di Martino of Human Gender and some of the volunteers who contributed, including Ida Amoruso – to illustrate the first results of the pilot project. With them, the producer Gianni Pagliazzi and the screenwriter Michele Ferruccio Tuozzo – who wrote the work with the director Luca Guardabascio – together with a representative of the cast, will present the film “Credo in un Solo Padre”, shot mainly in the province of Salerno and Arezzo (in particular in the municipalities of Buccino, Pontecagnano, Eboli, Arezzo, Castiglion Fiorentino), revealing how they decided to tell such a delicate and too often taboo subject, involving on the set also people who are victims of abuse, the artistic choices and the social value of the work, whose filming has recently ended and whose release is scheduled for next winter. The conference will also be the occasion to preview a clip of the film and one of the music composed by Francesco Baccini.
Also present will be the Mayor Nicola Parisi and the Deputy Mayor Maria Trimarco of the Municipality of Buccino and the two sponsors of the film Domenico Elia and Pietro Deo. The presentation will be moderated by Emilia Natale, board member of the Movimento Forense section of Salerno.
