Jealous and addicted to alcohol and drugs, he allegedly constantly abused his ex-partner for nine years, keeping her locked up in the house for months even after the arrival of their daughter, who is now five. This nightmare was ended today by the State Police, who arrested a 27-year-old man from Capua on orders from the investigating judge of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court. The man faces charges of domestic abuse, kidnapping, violence, and threats. The victim reported her ex-partner; the woman, who had been locked in the house for the first three months of this year because the 27-year-old had confiscated her keys, managed to free herself and escape with her daughter, taking refuge in a women's shelter. She then went to the Caserta Police Headquarters, where she reported the incident to the Flying Squad. A disturbing picture emerged, one of ongoing violence. The woman reported that her husband, a drug addict and drunk, beat her at least three times a week with kicks, punches, and other objects, and refused to let her go out, preventing her from seeing relatives and friends. This situation was well known to those who knew the couple, so much so that State Police investigators, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office headed by Maria Antonietta Troncone, were able to easily reconstruct the context of the violence outlined by the woman in her complaint thanks to the testimonies of friends and relatives.
